When I started the Oberlin Watch Company, the intention was to offer a good watch at a fair price. When this was just a matter of making and selling 25 - 50 watches, this was easy to do. I priced the OBIE at $97.97 because it provided enough to cover expenses and make a small profit. Nearly a year later we have sold over 125 watches, and we have definitively moved beyond the "introductory" period.
We will be increasing the price of the OBIEs on May 1. So if you've been thinking about buying an OBIE, you still have a little more than 2 months to get one at the current price.
